Three in a bed is a romantic coming of age comedy following the life of a struggling musician Nate. Set in Manchester Nate desperately seeks independence but when his 2 sisters come crashing into his life, things will never be the same again, especially with the arrival of new neighbor Jonny. Somewhere in a holiday home in France, Bernard and his wife Jacqueline are expecting guests for what promises to be a pleasant weekend. One of the guests is Bernard's best friend Robert, who is Jacqueline's secret lover. The other guest is Brigitte, Bernard's secret lover. The master of the house tells his wife that Brigitte is Robert's partner, but since Robert has never seen the woman before, he mistakes her for the maid, who is also called Brigitte.
